The climate of the Republic of Bashkir is continental, with warm summers. The weather here changes frequently as this region is geographically positioned between cyclones, moving from mid-latitudes of the Atlantic and also because of the invasion of arctic winter air of Siberian anticyclones. The winter is snowy, lengthy and cold. The north region is exposed to the effects of the Arctic Ocean, and the south to the dry conditions of Kazakhstan and lowlands of the Caspian Sea region.
