What is the "Biological product" certificate.
On the basis of the International Ecological Foundation, certification committee "International Ecological Foundation" (CC IEF) functions. It was accredited in the obligatory certification system on the ecological requirements "POSS.RU.001.01.ETOO". OS IEF conducts environmental certification on the following basis:
1. Items required to be certified and have a declaration of conformity (as specified and sanctioned under Government regulations of the Russian Federation of April 29, 2002 № 287).
2. Items subject to voluntary ecological certification.
2.1 Systems of Environmental Management of organizations on ISO 14001.
2.2 Production subject to voluntary ecological certification.
Production may be voluntarily certified only if it is not subject to certification or declaration in compliance with the Government rules of the Russian Federation of April 29, 2002 № 287 or the nomenclature of the product types composed under this specification and confirmed in accordance with the Government rule of the Russian Federation of July 30, 2002 № 64.
To avoid repeating of works on conformance certification, carried out with use of other certification methods (Government Regulation of Industrial Systems) during ecological certification of the product conformance, all determining characteristics without exception are certified and specified in the standardized document on production:

2. Biological safety (veterinary sanitary and phytosanitary measures)
3. Explosion safety
4. Mechanical safety
5. Fire safety
6. Industrial safety
7. Thermal safety
8. Chemical safety
9. Electrical safety
10. Nuclear and radiation safety
The above stated requirements, which affect the surrounding environment, plants and animals outside the sanitation zone of the production facility, can be viewed as requirements of "ecological safety".

During voluntary certification recommendatory determining characteristics may be used – reliability, tolerance to the effects of the outside environment, transportability and other product quality requirements.
The Certification Department of the International Ecological Foundation provides certification and declaration on production compliance according to the known strict ecological requirements of regulatory documents. These include international standards IOS and IEC, rules of UNECE UN, directives of the EU, Euro-standards and National standards applied in the following order.
